I am afraid that since I started Twittering I have neglected my blog. I think this is because it is soo much easier to Twitter a quick comment than to have to sit down and blog a thoughtful post. I will try and give a quick update on what has been going on.
Basically I have been busy with two things; doctors appointments and graduation planing. I have pretty much kept up with the appointments so I will go on to the graduation. The class ring is ordered. The invitations are ready and the diploma is gorgeous. We will be serving :brisket, rice, beans, chips, salsa, and tea. Jaime is finished and has come a long way in his 18 years. He is not sure yet about the furture. However, there are some things in the works.
We have just a few weeks before our next hunting trip:-) I have been busy with Nicholas and trying to get his photos ready for a contest he is entering. Go to his blog for a peek. We had to have the photos enlarged to a 8 x 10, the they had to dry mounted, and now we are working on naming them and getting them actually entered. We took them to our local Hobby Lobby to have them dry mounted and the did a horrendous job so they had to be redone. Then, we finally got them home and Isaiah ran is finger nails across one and ruined it. So we must start from scratch with that one, but Nicholas has already reordered it. Victoria and Isaiah have been sick along with alot of other church members. I guess it is that time of year:-( We are planning a Zoo trip for Tuesday March 10. If any of you ladies out there are interested speak up. My children love the zoo and this will give them time with other children from the church. I can not offer to take anyone with me because my seats are already called for. But you would be more than welcome to follow us and the others to Houston. We are still working on details but will probably take a picnic lunch. Well I guess that is about it in a nutshell.

Friday
Well, I was supposed to go for my IV Iron therapy at about 8 this morning. That did not happen as planned. Isaiah started running a very high fever around 9p.m. last night (along with several other symptoms) so I waited around until 8:30 as to call the pediatrician. They were able to see him at 9:15 and said he has a throat infection. I brought Isaiah back home and left him with Nicholas and proceeded on to the hospital (Angleton) for treatment. After it was all said and done I got in at 10:30. The treatment actually went well with no real effects. I do not 'feel' any different and the doctor told me that I would see immediate results and I do not. As we 'speak' I am starting to feel very nauseous. Also a tidbit on my mom. The dr. told her that she definitely has blockage it is just a matter of finding out where. Her cholesterol is outrageous (332) and her triglycerides are high as well(250) and she has something called Helicobacter pylori .

Thursday
I went to my doctor's appointment today to get more results. My husband was able to go with me as well. The new for today is; "dangerously low iron levels". I am being sent to the hospital in the morning for a 3-4 hour Ferrlicet IV. This is basically a high dose of iron that will be administered intravenously. After this procedure I am to continue the regular iron pills and recheck blood in a month. If at that time the levels are still low I will have to do an eight day intraveinious course of iron. This is still better than the transfusion;) Pray for me tomorrow. Pray specificlly that the prosedure will work and also that I will not get very sick. I am going alone so I will have to drive myself home. Thanks to you all.

Graduation
We were finally able to rent the place we wanted for Jaime's graduation ceremony.
It should be large enough for our needs with a really nice play area for the children. I would love to have a kitchen the size of this one. We are ordering invitations this week. It will be on Friday April 24th. We are also in the process of making food preparations. We are a Baptist/Spanish family and those two together equal food.
Baptist + Spanish = Food (Mexican food with hot sauce)
This is an exciting time for us. Jaime is our first graduate. I am a planning to the tee type person and my husband likes to just let things fall into place. IT IS DRIVING ME NUTS!!! I am sure everything will work out fine. After all, we will know everyone there;)

Monday
Ok, so today we were finally able to order Jaime's class ring. Yippie!! One thing taken care of and 999,999 more to go. Also, our vacuum has been broken for a while now and I have been borrowing my dear neighbors. I told Nick I was just going to break down and buy a $400 vacuum so it might last a while. Low and behold when we were out today looking for class rings....I bought a $400 vacuum.... for a grand total of $52.58. That is $53.97 for the vaccum -10% discount +8.25% taxes. Please take a look at our new family member here and here (we are hoping he hangs around for a while) We got it at Sears and it was marked down to make room for this years model.

Wednesday
The kidney doctor called today and ordered more blood tests. Thankfully they were able to use the blood that they took yesterday. My husband saw the ENT today. He has been on antibiotics for almost three months and still having dizzy spells. They have diagnosed him with Meniere's Disease . I guess from what I understand so far it is possible to control this with diet change. My mom is here through the weekend so we get to spend a little time together.

PKD Update
Today was my visit to the renal doctor. I guess things went pretty much as expected. When I arrived my b/p was 180/100 after a 'calming' session it came down to 169/97 a bit better but not much. The doctor took me off one of my b/p meds and replaced it with a new one. I am scheduled for a complete ultrasound Tuesday at 8:30. I was also sent for more lab work: basic, albumin, calcium, phosphorus, uric acid, cbc w/diff, retic count, tsh, iron, iron binding, vit D levels, ferritin, and % sat. She also put me on iron 325mg three times daily. I have to make an appointment with the cardiologist as well to schedule an echo cardiogram. She seems to think the pain if from the liver and not the kidneys. She did tell me my kidneys are functioning at 56%.
Please pray that my b/p will stabilize as high b/p is extra hard on the kidneys.
