Prayers

I am a firm believer that all our prayers are answered. Sometimes we tend to think if God doesn't give us a 'yes' answer then it was an unanswered prayed. What we fail to realize is that God is allowed to give us a 'no' answer, and when is does it is the best thing for us.

My blood pressures are going hair wire. I was taken off one medication because it was making me exhausted. (I mean sleep for three days straight exhausted) I then started a new medication that almost put me in cardiac arrest. I am now trying something different. Oh, how I pray this one works. Having hair wire blood pressures is extremely hard on the kidneys, and I have decided that I want mine to last as long as possible:)

My husband has his sleep study tomorrow night. Still no results from the MRI. Please continue to pray all goes well.

Answers

We received a few answered prayers today. My father-in-law is home and looks well. He has gotten a bit weaker and is still quite raspy but good over all. Just as we were leaving to go to Bay City the phone rang. Finally an appointment for Christian. He will see the doctor on Thursday October 23rd. We must go to Clear Lake for the appointment but will be happy to have him seen. My niece came through the operation just fine. My husband will be doing a Bible study with the husband of one of our church members tomorrow night. And...........I found a nice plump turkey!!! THAT'S FIVE ANSWERED PRAYERS IN ONE DAY!!!! My two goofy teenage sons are currently putting up the Christmas tree. Yes, I am aware that Thanksgiving is not even here yet. However given the present situation (no details please) we agreed to let them go ahead with it. But.......NO OUTSIDE LIGHTS YET!!!!

Thursday Prayer Request

Our phone rang at 3:30 this morning. You know the feeling?! Sure enough my father-in-law has taken very ill and is currently hospitalized at Matagorda General. We do not have much information other than he was having great difficulty breathing thus the trip to the ER. Please pray for him, his wife and the rest of our family.

Prayer Request

The MRI Center just called and we must return to Houston again tomorrow for further testing on my father-in-law. PLEASE pray for us as this is a very trying time (in many ways) for our family.

Thursday

WOW!! Talk about a busy week. We have been busy all week in preparation for the upcoming surprise 45th anniversary party we are having for my in laws. The video presentation was just finished. To y'all who know me that drives me crazy because it is very last minute. The nurse called today on Nicholas. No results just more waiting. We have been waiting for a month now for a 24 hour blood pressure monitor. Today the nurse said they would like to schedule a MRA of the brain. There are two problems with this. One is if this is not performed next week it will have to wait until the second week of June. We will be gone on vacation from May 23 through June 1st. Second, unfortunately this will require sedation which is very hard for me to endure as it is quite unpleasant for Nicholas to go through. Please pray for our family during this time. I must go now as I still have plenty I could be doing. Thanks to all who take the time to read what I have to say.
