Today my Christian is 13! We now have 3 teenagers at home and are forever mindful of God's goodness!!

Wednesday

Sorry for the long break. Not a lot to report at this time. Christian could not be seen by Dr. Harris last Thursday they said it was to 'touchy' and that we should just go ahead and get him into Texas Children's. That is were we are now...waiting for an appointment. We have been waiting for almost a week now so in one since I feel a bit relieved and thinking that maybe it is not as bad as they thought. The weather turned ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS today and that is great news for our garage sale this Friday. Michele, Olivia, Kimberly, my next door neighbor and I are having a HUGE sale this Friday. It should be a blast. I am not at liberty to get into detail but please keep our family in your prayers as the devil is up to no good in many different areas. I am patiently waiting for the proverbial silver lining to show forth through this cloud.
Our oldest son will turn 18 on the 18th. (wow how times flies) We have had a trip (two days 17th & 18th) planned for better than 4 months (just the three of us). However for more than one reason this is no longer possible. This could not have happened at a worse time I don't think.
We have Revival all next week beginning on Sunday. Bro. P.D. Taylor will be with us that week.
Bro. Taylor trained our Pastor, our Pastor trained my husband so it is always a bit like a family reunion. We will be having everyone over for a meal on Thursday and we are going to have Thanksgiving. Yes, I will be making a turkey in October but I think it will be fun.

LQTS

LQTS (Long QT Syndrome). That is Christian's official diagnosis per the pediatrician. The ped's office set him an appointment with the cardiologist here locally (Dr. Harris) for Thursday at 1 p.m. Please pray for us during this time. I am not comfortable with the type of questions I am being asked. There are a lot of 'ifs' involved.

Dr. Visit

Christian went for his Renal Ultrasound today. It has been three years since his first one and today we once again received the 'All Clear'. I also picked up the results of the EKG done on the 9th of September as well as the lab reports. All of his labs were good. PKD Update

Today was Nick's echo cardiogram. Other than seeing an unborn baby in the womb via ultrasound this was one of the neatest things I have ever seen. The human heart!!! We should have the results the early part of next week. Christian had his 12 year old check up today as well. We did blood work and an EKG. Those results are all in but..we were in Houston when they called so I have to call them back in the morning. Christian is also scheduled for an ultrasound on September 18th. That was our day in a nutshell.

SEPTEMBER 6,2008

Twelve years ago today God saw fit to bless our family with a third son. Christian Kyle Sanchez was born on September 6, 1996 a few weeks before his actual due date. Christian has been a great blessing to our family. He is unlike the others in many ways. He is SPECIAL!!!! Christian is a very serious person about almost everything. He is a lot like my father and grand father in that he is alwyas piffering. We were saved when Christian was 4 months old so he knows no other life. He has made a profession of salvation. He is a hard worker and helps his dad mow. He has one yard of his own right now and is waiting for more. He is good about putting his yard mowing money in his savings accout. He loves to argue with his sister. (I think that is what keeps him going)
He would rather stay home than travel, would rather be outside than in. I thank God for giving us Christian and pray that he has a WONDERFUL 12th BIRTHDAY!!!!!

This was the first fish of the day. No, it is not a butterfly (Catie) it is really a 'tiny' Large Mouth Bass. The fish did get bigger as the day progressed.

Snake Skinning

Last week we found a snake hiding in a cardboard roll in our garage. Our 11 year old son, Christian, wanted to skin it.....so he did.
