Fun with friends

This past Saturday several families got to gether to do some horseback riding.
 We had a wonderful time together. 
A HUGE thankyou to the Grimes family for allowing us to have this oppurtunity.

Friday Night Lights

We went to the Brazosport football game this past Friday night.
I have not had sooo much fun in a great while.
The game was 'called' due to lightening and rain, but we didn't mind.
We got soaked through and through and went back to the
Cornelio's home for pizza and chicken kickers.

Wednesday

It has been a busy week already. My dh took the day off Monday due to illness and saw the dr.
He went for blood work this morning and has an MRI scheduled this afternoon. Also waiting for an appointment to do a sleep study. I spent the day with a friend yesterday. Lois and I went to Houston to buy HomeSchool books. We met up with a mutual friend there. Then we had dinner @ The Olive Garden and dessert @ The Marble Slab Creamery. YUMMMY!!! A young couple stopped by last night to tell us they loved us :)
We are looking forward to seeing where God takes us.

After a brief investigation, this tag was recently discovered on the bottom of our kitchen chairs.
Don't ask me why we would be looking under the chairs because I do not know. But, I am glad the discovery was made as it brought a smile to my heart.

Little People

I love Little People.
I love to see little kids playing with little people, it makes me happy!
Isaiah has LOTS and LOTS of Little People and he too loves them.
This is his own set up. The bird is driving the tractor (which he also loves) and the girl is in the tree.
Funny how little ones think. I guess he sees his sister in the tree all the time and assumes that all girls belong in tress:)

Snowball fight

We had a little snowball fight in the parking lot after church.
Here are a few of the guilty parties. It was FUN!!

Fun

Isn't this a fun idea? It is candy arranged like you would flowers. Taped to the back of the candy bars and crackers are florals stems. The smaller candies are in the bottom. This was given to us by one of our neighbors.

Tuesday

Today is Victoria's 9th birthday!! She is having a great time. We are having a pizza party for her at Gattis Pizza later today. My three nephews are absolutely precious!! It is very cold here 32 last night, rainy today and a chance of snow for Sunday. The trees are almost beyond belief with their brilliant colors. We are all enjoying ourselves but miss Jesse. TTFN

Saturday

We had a garage sale yesterday and things went a bit better than I thought they would. I did not have much left over for the next sale and I ended up making about $150.00. My father in law was released from the hospital yesterday evening. We will be spending the day over there with them today. Our middle niece is in Wharton hospital having gall bladder surgery today. Please pray that she will have a speedy recovery. (She has two babies to care for and an unsupportive husaband.) I am on the search for a turkey!! I will stop by HEB in Bay City today and see if they have one. You would think they would be out already it is almost November!
Plan B will be chicken with red sauce. Michele's favorite:)

Baking Day

Saturday The Cabrera family came over and Catie and I spent the day baking. We had a lot of fun together. Veronica entertained Victoria. Christian, Raul Jr. and Nicholas played video games and shot BB guns. Mrs. Yolanda was kept laughing with Isaiah. So basiclly everyone had a partner. It is always fun that way.

Russsian Pianist

Saturday evening after all the baking and driving classes we went to our local college to attend a piano concert. This lady is wonderful. We saw her last year as well. Zoya Shuhatovich has performed throughout Europe and the United States. The concert featured works by Russian composers, including Skriabin, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich and Mussorgsky. Nicholas was able to get her autograph after the show. The concert was a nice way to end the day.

SEPTEMBER 6,2008

Twelve years ago today God saw fit to bless our family with a third son. Christian Kyle Sanchez was born on September 6, 1996 a few weeks before his actual due date. Christian has been a great blessing to our family. He is unlike the others in many ways. He is SPECIAL!!!! Christian is a very serious person about almost everything. He is a lot like my father and grand father in that he is alwyas piffering. We were saved when Christian was 4 months old so he knows no other life. He has made a profession of salvation. He is a hard worker and helps his dad mow. He has one yard of his own right now and is waiting for more. He is good about putting his yard mowing money in his savings accout. He loves to argue with his sister. (I think that is what keeps him going)
He would rather stay home than travel, would rather be outside than in. I thank God for giving us Christian and pray that he has a WONDERFUL 12th BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Finally

OK.....so I finally took my children to the beach!!! Yeah for me!!!
We live very close to the ocean, however I have never enjoyed going. I seems to be such a hassle. I on the other hand enjoyed myself quite nicely today. As the children played in the pleasantly warm water I sat under a Cabana and read a book that I just started. We were at the beach for about three hours and it was very relaxing. I am now ready to sell our house (or just wait for a hurricane to take it) and buy a beach house in sunny Florida. NOT!!!! I have often told my husband that if he dies before I do and we are still fairly young that I and the children (that are still at home) will head for home....KENTUCKY!!! That is where all my family (with the exception of my mother but if I ever moved to Kentucky she would do the same) and support are. The day was nice as it was yesterday. We have had a few days of no humidity and it has been a real blessing. Tomorrow is our third son's birthday, he will be twelve. My husband has to take a drivers safety course in Houston from 1-5 p.m. It is job required so there is really no getting out of it and no one would trade him for the morning class. My mom is coming (her birthday is Sunday) so we will celebrate with her tomorrow. I think my husband is taking Christian to eat tonight. Christian has always begged us for his own plate of fajitas and tonight will be his night.

These were for a nurse at our pedi's office. I don't like raisins,
but these were delicious!!!

















Jaime had the day off for the 'tropical storm'
so he made a home-made Butter Pecan Cake.
Very sweet and yummy!!!

This was our snack as we sat and watched the 'wonderful' fireworks show. I love m&m's, especially the peanut ones.
