Tonail update

Ok, so I took Victoria in for an injured tonail. The tonail was barely attached toward the bottom. The doctor cut it down as far as possible and said to let the rest grow and it would eventually fall off completely in around two weeks or so. Thankfully there was no infection. I have delt with a large number of injuries and procedures through the last 17+ years but today took the cake. I felt VERY faint and sick with the tonail issue.

Thursday's Gross Appointments

Today is set to be a day of 'gross' doctors appointments. First our daughter will be seeing the doctor to remove an injured tonail. Then later this afternoon my husband will be having eight warts surgically removed from his hands. Five on one hand and three on the other. He has had this problem for many years (10+) and has actually had them frozen and lasered previously to no avail. Hopefully todays procedures will be effective. I pray everyone has a great Thursday doing whatever your schedule holds.

Birthday

Thirty-four years ago God blessed me with life. I must say I have had a good life albeit not always easy or happy. I have five gorgeous children and an awesome husband. God has blessed me with HIS gift of salvation, a sound church, and precious friends, and a loving extended family. I have had a good day so far and I got LOTS of candles, a bag of chocolates, a huge round serving plate, a new RED spoon rest,a new RED jacket for winter, various cards, phone calls, $$$$$, hugs, kisses, a hair cut, and my husband and I are going to dinner later. Red Lobster will be the destination because that is MY favorite place to eat....shrimp scampi and cheddar bay biscuits!!! YUM YUM YUM (I get all the biscuits because my husband does not eat chesse)

Tuesday Update

Well, we are home and the day went fine. We arrived at 2 p.m. as scheduled and the called us back around 2:30 p.m. They started the IV on the third try. Then during the preprocedure exam determined that there was 'possibly' something wrong with his heart. (Remember we are still waiting for an appointment for an angiogram.) Therefore it was to risky to go ahead with the sedation. After talking to Nicholas for a while it was decided to try and do the MRI without the sedation at all. They gave him some goggles to wear and watch a movie while they performed the MRI. That helped and he made it through the entire exam just fine. We arrived home around 6:30 p.m. Thanks for all your prayers on Nick's behalf.

Pkd News

Well, today is Tuesday and Nicholas goes in this afternoon to have a MRA of the brain done. This is being done in order to rule out an anyreusm as for what is causing his high blood pressure/headaches. It has been a streesful week leading up to today. Just trying to figure out what to drive to Houston (our van is broke down at this time), what time does everyone get off, and mainly where to leave the other smaller children. I know better than to worry but normally lend in that direction anyway. Well, as usual (despite me worrying) the Lord worked everything out perfectly. My husband is taking off at noon, we will drop off the three samller children around 12:30p.m. and head to Houston from there. Our oldest son will pick up the three smaller children whenever he gets off work and take them home. I think we will probably be home betweem 6p.m. and 8p.m. tonight. Please pray for Nicholas throughout the day today. He will be put to sleep for the procedure. Pray that the nurse can start the IV on the first try and that Nicholas will fall asleep easily. We are to arrive at 2p.m. and the procedure is scheduled for 4p.m.

Sales

Today was what I would call a GREAT bargain day.
First stop was Kroger and then CVS. The products you see pictured totaled $98.05. After all coupons and ecbs were used my total oop (out of pocket) was $7.07. This Sunday's paper had great coupons that matched up with this weeks sales so it worked out wonderful. Now you might be saying 'What will she do with all that?' Well, I will give some away and be a blessing to others. I will save what we need and then on my normal grocery weeks I will have extra food money because I will not need a lot of household items. On top of all the savings I walked away with $17.00 in ecbs and a new $5off $25 coupon, so I already have 'money' waiting for next week.
